BIOGRAPHICAL BACKGROUND
Craig E. White, ACM, is a recognized authority in the factory-built and manufactured housing industry with over thirty years of experience in all phases of the industry. He authored The Manufactured Housing Land Development Guide, and he was a contributor to the publication How to Find, Buy, Manage, and Sell a Manufactured Home Community. He has also written scores of industry publications and has been published in Professional Builder Magazine, Merchandiser Magazine, The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and various other housing industry publications. He has been court approved as an expert witness in manufactured housing on numerous occasions.
During White's career he has served as a senior executive for a major financial institution involved with the financing of manufactured homes and with the development /operation of manufactured home communities. In addition, he served as a senior executive for one of the largest owners of manufactured home communities where he directed the acquisition and operation of a regional portfolio in excess of 2800 homesites. As a developer, he was a principal in a leading edge manufactured housing subdivision selected for recognition for a Building Innovation for Homeownership Award by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. The project was a finalist for Developer of The Year at the 1997 Manufactured Housing Congress.
White has served as Vice President of Acquisition for CWS Communities Trust. CWS Communities Trust is a major national owner and developer of manufactured home communities.
White was the founding Chairman and is a long time board member of the Manufactured Housing Educational Institute, the educational subsidiary of the industrys primary trade association, The Manufactured Housing Institute. He is also the MHEIs first recipient of the Accredited Community Manager (ACM) designation. White was twice president of the Colorado Manufactured Housing Association . He is also a former board member of the Manufactured Housing Institute, and currently serves as a board member of the MHI National Community Council.
